From the horse’s mouth

New release from Bicephalic Records:

BC007 – Food World / Clang Quartet : Aeon

http://www.bicephalic.net/bc007.html

I am happy to announce this newest cassette split release.

The legendary Clang Quartet (aka Scotty Irving) appears here with his patented harsh noise + percussion combo. Clang Quartet has a few releases on labels such as Hansen, RRRecords and Turgid Animal, but what he is most known for are his amazing live shows, combining harsh noise, frenetic drumming and religious performance art. To top it off, he will be opening for Acid Mothers Temple on their upcoming US tour... definitely not to be missed.

Food World are the harsh noise / freakout duo of Ryan Lewis (Mr. Stonecipher) and August Traeger (Somnaphon / Nipple Stools). Their side of the tape includes one track that is a high octane screeching nightmare and another track culled from a subdued live performance recorded on 4 July 2011 (US Independence Day) in Wilmington, NC.

If you have a cassette player, I encourage you to pick this up. I had the privilege of seeing Clang Quartet a few years ago, and it was one of the most intense live shows I've ever seen.
